Glare-free living |
Ordinary sunglasses soften sunlight but do not
protect you from harsh reflected white light 'glare'– Polarised lenses provide that extra performance for all year
round protection from polarised light.
|
| Better contrast and clearer |
By eliminating glare that causes eyestrain,
squinting and general discomfort, Polarised lenses enable you to benefit from clearer vision that is sharper,
more vibrant and has greater depth of clarity. Wearing Polarized lenses means you will feel more comfortable and relaxed whether
reading, enjoying outdoor sports or driving.
|
100% UV protection
|
Polarised lenses offer 100% protection form harmful UV rays that cause irreparable
damage to your eyes.
|
Anti-reflective coating
|
| All Polarised lenses are available with an anti-reflective coating. This coating
virtually eliminates reflections on the surface of your lens and so
makes your spectacles and you more attractive to look at. |
|
 |
| Live life in full colour |
High performance polarised lenses eliminate the harsh glare that can
bounce off water, snow, glass and metal. As a result, they add a new
dimension to life for those who enjoy outdoor activities – from
sailing, skiing, angling, and golfing to cycling and especially driving.
Discomfort from glare affects us all and the new Polarised lens range is designed for both prescription and non-prescription
wearers whatever your lifestyle.
|
How do polarise lenses eliminate glare?
|
When sunrays hit a smooth reflective surface
they 'polarise' and travel either horizontally or vertically. Vertical
light brings useful information to the eye, enabling us to see colours
and contrasts, whereas horizontal light creates harsh white 'glare'
or 'dazzle'. This glare is most harmful when relfected off a smooth
or mirrored surface such as vehicles, pavements or water. A thin film
with vertical rows of iodine crystals is embedded into the surface
of each Polarised lens –
this acts as a Venetian blind only allowing the useful rays through
to your eyes.
